Health and Safety Protocols
For the health and safety of its patrons, Chamber Music Albuquerque encourages all audience members to keep current with COVID vaccinations and boosters, but we do not currently plan to require ticket holders to display proof of vaccination for admission to these concerts.
We will require masking for all audience members as well as our own staff at all times while inside the Simms Center for the Performing Arts, regardless of vaccination status.
The use of a concert venue with an improved ventilation system is another way in which we are making best efforts to help keep our audiences safe. The air filtration system at the Simms Center, as elsewhere at Albuquerque Academy, has been upgraded to an efficiency level of MERV 13. See https://www.aa.edu/february-4-community-webinar-summary/ (last visited August 1, 2022). This filtration level is recommended by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers ("ASHRAE") in its publication "Guidance for Building Operations During the COVID-19 Pandemic," cited by the CDC in its webpage on ventilation in buildings (updated June 2, 2021).
We have also added a feature to our ticketing that should contribute to audience safety. Seats purchased at the $30 level will be socially distanced -- two seats will be left open between each group of ticket holders in the same row.
Please note that our health and safety protocols are subject to change as conditions may change.
